This is a shameless pop song from Rai singer Khaled. He has -much- better stuff but i wanted to show you all how god damned smilely he is and this clip shows that. Watch it and tell me you don't heart him just a little bit too:)
And if you're interested, a song of his that i prefer to that one.
Look at that face!

New York Times article from the 1800's. Long, but worth a read. Great journalism:)
Brooklyn Ghost? Pshaw!

Carlos reminded me of this when he was thinking of taking photographs that give the impression that house is haunted. I'm fascinated with this stuff:)

Apparently this girl won again this year. She's amazing everyone should see this.
I've already mentioned Cotard's syndrome, here are a few other interesting delusions. They're unusual, but common enough to have been named.
Erotomania
Fregoli delusion

I once saw a painting that truly seemed to glow from the inside. A boat, on a stormy sea with a single light on the mast. It was at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam (no smart-alec drug comments please) not a Van Gogh painting but one by another post-impressionist, Louis Anquetin.
I was also drawn to another of his Conversation intime, which to me still looks fresh and modern although it was painted before the turn of the century. (It must be one of the first examples of cloisonnism.)
Anquetin was regarded as one of the most promising painters of La Belle Époque. Perhaps even above his comtemporaries who included not only Van Gogh, but Toulouse-Lautrec. He faded in to obscurity after rejecting the modern styles and devoting himself to the style of the old masters. (He especially admired Rubens, and even wrote a book about him.)
I couldn't find a picture of that painting which i loved so much in Amsterdam. But thanks to Bec (who uploaded it) i can show you another of his:
Avenue de Clichy: Five O’Clock in the Evening, (which supposedly inspired Van Gogh's Cafe Terrace at Night..)

Here are some choice comments on the above story:
"i think this whole thing is stupid and wrong. we should leave the world how it is , not re make it, or the past. so take my advice and STOP WHAT YOU ARE! you are putting other peoples lives up just for science. you stupid geeks. "
"This makes me so mad that I could cry. God made us all, we didn't come from a freakin' explosion. Why can't people understand this? bunch of hypocrites."
"Yes indeed, scientists have always want to prove things through assumptions, but I bet they die and meet the answers to their assumptions in hell. How dare they want to test the almight GOD? May be they need to be reminded of the time of Babel when God made people to speak different languages as a result they could not communicate as they build babel to rich they sky and hence God. God forgive them because they donot know what they are up."
"there are some things you just shouldn't mess with. the "secrets of the universe" are secret for a reason."
"Man i wish Einstein was here!"
"Yay! ^_^ "
Plus there were some people helpfully asserting that you "can't deny science!" and telling eachother to "study the facts":)

Having a crush is one of life's spices. I love being all in a whirl over someone, don't you? It's ridiculous, and sometimes debilitating, but it's fun. I wish i had someone like that now.

Stupidly happy for no reason.
I love you all.
I love you all.
Went to post this entry and found i had this saved in a draft:
Last day in Lille...
-Walked past the fountain in the Place de la Republique and it was empty, no more water, made me strangely sad, chances are i won't see it filled again. I played in it once with my friend Katie at 5 in the morning, good times.
-Another thing i didn't post about was the tango classes i went to with Kasia. We had to dance together due to a lack of males and to be honest, we kinda sucked, but it was good fun anyway and tango music is really atmospheric, i need to get a hold of some.
Well that was all. Now i'm home again home again and back to my old hardly-ever-posting ways.

Based on my use of the word "ass".
Thank-you and goodnight.
PS. Bec and i are engaged:)
